The Minn Kota Bluetooth Heading Sensor Assembly (2996400) provides boat heading information to compatible Minn Kota trolling motors equipped with Bluetooth-enabled i-Pilot, i-Pilot Link, or Advanced GPS Navigation.
The sensor contains an electronic compass that detects your boat's heading and communicates wirelessly with the trolling motor. This heading information enables features such as Spot-Lock Jog, allowing you to adjust your Spot-Lock position in 5-foot increments.
Whether you're replacing a damaged heading sensor or adding one to a compatible trolling motor, this assembly helps restore the heading information needed for supported navigation features.

Installation Notes
The heading sensor must be mounted away from magnetic interference, large metal objects, and high-current wiring. It requires a suitable power connection and must be paired and calibrated according to Minn Kota's installation instructions.
Note: The heading sensor is not a GPS receiver and does not independently control the boat's direction.
