FAQ

How do I store my lithium batteries in the winter?

Disconnect all wires and store them at 60-80% charge. They do not have to be brought inside and do NOT leave them on a charger.

What size battery do I need?

There are several variables here however a 125ah or larger is recommended for cranking and 100ah is recommended for trolling motors.

Do I need a HDS Pro for Active Target 2?

Active Target 2 is compatible with HDS Carbon, HDS Live, HDS Pro, and Elite FS. If you want to run two Active Target 2 transducers then you will need an HDS Pro unit.

Should I run my Live Sonar on a independent pole or the trolling motor?

This can depend on how you fish. If you fish a lot of smaller lakes and stay on your trolling motor a lot then it can be best to leave it on the motor. If you fish a lot of big water and spot lock frequently throughout the day then a pole mount can be ideal. The ultimate setup is having one on the trolling motor and one on the pole.

If I want to run 2 Livescope or 2 Active Targets, do I need a black box for each transducer?

Yes each transducer requires its own black box no matter which model unit you're using.

Should I go with Mega 360 or Live Sonar?

This can be decided by how you fish and understanding these are two different technologies. If you fish a lot of shallower water and target structure then 360 is extremely helpful in finding isolated cover. Live sonar can also be used to find cover but finding fish is the main goal with live.
