How On-The-Run Charging Works

The MillerTech Dark Speed charger helps take advantage of available power from your outboard's charging system while the engine is running.

When the charging system reaches the required voltage, the charger can transfer available power to help recharge your auxiliary lithium battery bank. This allows your trolling motor batteries to recover some of their charge while traveling between fishing locations.

The system uses the following voltage thresholds:

• 14.0V: Start power transfer

• 13.3V: Stop power transfer

Actual charging performance depends on the outboard's available charging capacity, battery condition, and electrical system configuration.
